Do you have a mortgage with Bank of Ireland? They may waiver your penalty to move mortgage

If you are a borrower on the Standard Variable Rate with the Bank of Ireland you will of experienced a considerable increase in the rate of interest you are paying. In March 2012 BOI announced that the Standard Variable Rate would increase from 1.5% to 4.49% in two stages. The second stage took place in September 2012.

Bank of Ireland have written to all borrowers affected and have also written to many borrowers who are currently in a fixed rate period offering to waiver any early repayment charge should a borrower want to move to a new lender. This applies to both Buy to Let and residential borrowers.

This may give a borrower access to a new mortgage at a better rate, or the opportunity to release funds to use to consolidate other loans or undertake improvements to the property.
