Transferring property into a Limited Company

In light of the budget, many investors are re-assessing whether they should buy property via a Limited Company and to that end, also transfer their existing portfolio into a Limited Company.

There are a variety of ways of undertaking such a transfer. The two most popular being either to form an LLP and then transfer the assets into the Limited Company through that vehicle, or to transact a sale and purchase. There are advantages and disadvantages to both ways.
